Meet the 2020 Clinician Academy Students: Wendy Stillwagon

Wendy Stillwagon will be returning to the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch in September to attend the Clinician Academy. The Texas horsewoman participated in a 10-day Intermediate Clinic a few years ago and is dedicated to improving her skill set. She shares why she’s passionate about the Method and what led her to enroll in the Academy.

Why do you believe in the Method?
I first discovered the Method around 2009 when I attended a tour in Conroe, Texas. I was very impressed with how quickly Clinton was able to get results with one of the problem horses. I bought a halter and Handy Stick and went right home to work on my own horse that I had been training for years and got immediate results with the Method. The Method has worked every time on every horse I have trained, regardless of breed, background or temperament. The training method has always kept me and the horse safe, while still allowing me to establish a great foundation on my horses.

What made you decide to attend the Academy?
I have dreamed about attending the Academy ever since 2017. That was even before I attended the Intermediate Clinic taught by Professional Clinician Kristin Hamacher. After seeing Kristin and Clinton teach to the public, I knew even more so that is what I wanted to do full time. Training horses is a passion of mine and to be able to train with Downunder Horsemanship behind me would be amazing!

We can’t wait to welcome Wendy back to the ranch and look forward to helping her on her journey toward becoming a Method Ambassador! Learn more about the Clinician Academy on our website.
