December DVD Focuses on Safely Handling Your Horse’s Legs

1213_04

A well-trained horse is easy to work around and a sign of good horsemanship practices. Nothing rats out how well-mannered a horse is than how he acts when his feet are handled. If your horse has fussy feet, refuses to stand quietly for the farrier or won’t let you near his legs, the December No Worries Club DVD is for you.

In this training session, Clinton explains why it’s crucial that you’re able to work safely around a horse’s feet and how to go about training a horse to stand quietly while you do handle his feet. He also covers common problems that come about when handling horses’ legs and talks about how to teach a horse to accept a farrier working with him. If you follow the steps outlined in this lesson, how you’re able to handle your horse’s feet will be a source of pride rather than a source of fear or anxiety.
