In this month’s No Worries Club DVD, Phoenix and Mini are back in front of the cameras, and this time the mini horses are out on the obstacle course to show you how to give your horse a purpose for doing groundwork exercises. “There is nothing more boring or frustrating for a horse than having to do the same boring exercises in the same boring arena. Working over obstacles gives your horse, and you, a new challenge,” Clinton explains.

After the first training session with Mini, which was featured on the June DVD, Clinton and Professional Clinician Shayla Smock spent several weeks teaching her the Fundamentals groundwork exercises. Now that she’s proficient at them, Clinton and Shayla are ready to introduce her to obstacles. To demonstrate how he ideally likes a horse to approach and negotiate each obstacle, Clinton works Phoenix over each challenge first. Then Mini tackles the obstacle, and viewers get to learn how to get their horses to approach an obstacle correctly and build their confidence.

Watch the lesson now on the No Worries Club website.
